Back in August, I stumbled across the most charming Airbnb in North Carolina, called the Carolina Treehouse managed by Alyssa + Brian. And while we live here in the Lake Norman area, this seemed like a perfect getaway for a baby moon, with our second child quickly approaching.
As soon as we opened the front door: I was in love. This idyllic little treehouse is rustic, romantic, and cozy — an ideal location for honeymooners, babymooners, or anyone who just wants to escape everyday life. And let’s be real, after the year that has been 2020 — nothing is better than a safe escape. When you rent the North Carolina Treehouse, you have the whole place to yourself, which includes a kitchenette, bathroom, outdoor shower, bedroom, small dining area and of course a large outdoor deck. Outside the home, there is a dock overlooking a private pond with a fire pit, as well as kayaks you can use during your stay. Beneath the home, there is a large porch swing bed with market lighting that makes for a whimsical + magical late-night vibe.
Alyssa and Brian have thought of everything — with the home fully stocked with towels, various toiletries, cookware, and other kitchen items you may need while using their grill on the front deck. One of my personal favorite additions to the home was a record player and old-school records, this 1970’s soul at heart can appreciate that! Other specifics of the home include Wifi, a key code access to the front door, and ample outdoor lighting for when you come and go in the evening. My husband and I had an amazing time, and this was the exact getaway we needed for a little R&R. The story of Alyssa and Brian’s Airbnb adventures is also incredibly endearing — the couple started their journey in 2017, and have quickly acquired amazing properties and reviews through their hard work and diligence in creating truly unique vacation rentals. We will most certainly be back to this tranquil slice of heaven among the trees!
