Home Decor: Furniture Row Project

Last week, I posted on my Instagram why Furniture Row will always be near and dear to our hearts in the Harris household, but for those who may not recall, my husband worked for Furniture Row Racing for nine years of his racing career. For years, Furniture Row made incredible contributions to the sport of NASCAR, and those contributions will not soon be forgotten, particularly the #78 team Championship winning season in 2018. For all those reasons, I am so grateful to partner with Furniture Row, a company whose leadership and team, I really admire, to create several new home projects for our house in North Carolina.

First and foremost, the service at the Charlotte Furniture Row store (8215 Ikea Blvd Suite FR, Charlotte, North Carolina) is top-notch —they have a very knowledgeable and helpful staff for all your needs, and the store is laid out in a simple, easy to navigate layout. Everything is separated by departments, so you should have no issue finding exactly what you’re looking for in any particular room of your home. I had a relatively clear vision of what I wanted for my first project, and the employees at Furniture Row helped make my vision a reality. They brought all the individual pieces I was considering, together in one spot of the store to double-check the pairings/colors/layout and overall compatibility between the pieces.

THE PIECES: Home Entryway

I wanted to focus on our home’s entryway. The entryway to a home is an often overlooked and downplayed area, but it’s the first thing anyone sees once they enter your house — so it should make a statement. I found a warm and rustic, industrial-style table, that was a perfect width to compliment our entryway hallway while still fitting in with the current theme of our home. The table came from Furniture Row’s Lost & Found Collection, and all the pieces in that collection are crafted by artisans from recycled wood and materials, with no two the same. This particular table was made from reclaimed elm.

I paired the table with two floral arrangements that I had had my eye on for several months because of their unique character. Anyone who knows me, knows I am a huge fan of flowers and particularly the fake variety. (When you travel for a living, it’s actually quite challenging to keep REAL plants alive). So, I consider myself a bit of a fake floral arrangement connoisseur and the bright orange and green duo pictured below were a no brainer to compliment the industrial table. Before the table was delivered, I had the larger arrangement in my kitchen — and these flowers really do flatter any particular room of your home, I am considering buying several more sets to have throughout our house.

With the flower arrangements being on the taller side, I wanted a smaller and lower decor item to place on the opposite side of the table. All throughout the store, I had seen Joanna and Chip Gaines’ signature Magnolia brand popping up in various display sections. I am a huge fan of the Fixer Upper duo of Chip and Joanna Gaines, so a purchase from their Magnolia line was an easy decision. I love the metal tray pictured below that has an aged zinc finish and wooden handles on wire bails. This piece, once again, compliments nicely as a rustic and functional home accent. The wooden quote hanging above the table was a wedding gift from a dear friend (thank you Kelly!) and is a perfect focal point of the entryway to our home — all these other pieces I acquired from Furniture Row help tie the space together nicely in a clean, warm and welcoming style.

The tray and flowers I brought home the day of purchase, while the table was delivered within a week, and Furniture Row is very accommodating and flexible on delivery dates to best suit your schedule. They follow-up with you prior to delivery to double-check times, and after to ensure you were happy with the process. Updating a home doesn’t get much simpler than that!
